Give proper and right directions in one voice to movement

Srinagar, July 25: Hizbul Mujahideen has said that the supreme commander and United Jehad Council chairman, Syed Salahuddin had appealed the Hurriyat leadership to give proper,  right directions and adopt a strategy to the sentiments of people which would help the movement to sustain in the long run.
In a statement, HM spokesperson Ahsan Ilahi said, “We have the recording of interview and Salahuddin had never talked about ending the ongoing strikes but had appealed the Hurriyat leadership to get united at this crucial juncture and give proper and well thought out direction to the sentiment and aspirations of masses.”Salahuddin had asked the leadership to adopt such tactics which would help people to continue protests for a long time without losing courage and hope, Illahi said.

“A local news gathering agency KNS had reported Salahuddin’s interview accordingly but it seems there was intentional or unintentional media spin,” he said. He strongly denounced the statements of some persons who were creating confusion and mislead people on the interview.

Illahi said that no one had any right to provoke people on the basis of some misunderstanding against popular Mujahideen leadership and organization which is the movement and organization of people of Jammu and Kashmir. “Sacrifices rendered by Syed Salahuddin and thousands of youth cannot be ignored,” he said. “Hizb men have given their blood for the movement, and every lane, river, residential area, markets, jungles are witness to their sacrifices. No one has the right to defame them,” he added.

He said “Quit Kashmir Movement” is not the movement of few days which would culminate after a few strikes. “It is long drawn struggle.”

He said it was the responsibility of the Mujahideen leadership to ensure that present movement is taken to its logical end. “That’s why Syed Salahuddin had asked Hurriyat leaders to devise a strategy so that people don’t get tired and support it without losing hope,” Illahi added.

Illahi said UJC chairman had given the statement in the context that people should not feel fatigued. "The struggle needs to be continued with proper guidance. People need to strengthen it at every step and we should not lose energies," he said.

Stating that sacrifices of Hizb chief and his men cannot be ignored, Illahi said nobody will be allowed to instigate people against the indigenous armed movement just on basis of misconception.“ The Mujahideen are sacrificing their lives for the freedom of Kashmiris. Many are living in forests for the cause and have given their lives for people of Kashmir,” he said.

Reiterating that the Mujahideen leadership will continue its struggle till the goal is achieved, Hizbul spokesman said, “Quit Jammu Kashmir movement is not a movement of few days. We need long term strategy for achieving our goal ."
