Lawyers continues protest, assault against Sikh youth is a conspiracy

Srinagar, July 29:  In Srinagar, the Lawyers of Kashmir Valley continued with their protest amid complete boycott of courts in support of their demand to release Kashmir High Court Bar Association president, Mian Abdul Qayoom and general secretary, GN Shaheen. Reacting the incident of assault against a Sikh youth in Awantipora, the Bar association termed it a conspiracy to create a divide between Muslims and the Sikh Community.

Reports said that lawyers continued with the protest sit-in at Saddar Court Complex here to press for their demand of releasing the political leaders, youth in addition to their main demand to set free association president and the general secretary.

Reacting the incident of assault against a Sikh youth in Awantipora, the Bar association termed it a conspiracy to create a divide between Muslims and the Sikh Community.

“We strongly denounce it as it’s a conspiracy to dent the age old harmony between the two communities,” advocate Mohammad Amin, spokesman of the KHBA told Press Bureau of India. He said that the Sikh community would soon come to know that is the same conspiracy that was hatched in Chatisinghpora. “The Sikh or any other non-Muslim community is part of us and we offer fullest sympathies to them,” he added.    (PBI)
