5 killed in Afghan suicide attack

KABUL, June 04: A suicide attack on a Nato convoy in the Afghan border town of Spin Boldak has reportedly injured killed five Nato soldiers.

The attack occurred when a Nato convoy on its way from Spin Boldak to Kandahar stopped near a petrol pump where the blast occurred.

Afghan authorities say three Canadian and two Afghan soldiers were killed.

However, a Taliban spokesperson claimed all five soldiers had been killed.

Nato authorities have not confirmed the incident.
